There are many opportunities to help - no matter how much time you have to give or what skills and talents you would like to contribute. All volunteer opportunities are in the Williamsburg, VA area. Here are some possibilities:
- Assist teachers and therapists in our developmental play group for children with disabilities or developmental delays, or who are at risk. You'll help with play activities, snacks and outdoor fun.
- Work with children ages birth to three in one of our two child care centers. Volunteers read to children, rock babies, help with classroom and outdoor activities and much more!
- Office volunteers do the much-needed work of copying, collating, assembling notebooks, preparing mailings. You will be a valued member of the CDR team.
CDR raises funds through special events to support its work with children and families. Volunteers are key to our success!
- The annual Bid 'n Buy Auction, held in March of each year, needs volunteers to manage the Party Pantry, Country Kitchen, Live & Silent Auctions and much more. This year more than $80,000 was raised with the help of 100 community volunteers.
- Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day, and other fundraising events would not be possible without the help of CDR volunteers.
- Our Development Committee identifies community resources and helps to build relationships with donors.
