CDR's First Steps Child Care and Development Centers offer high-quality, affordable child care for low-income infants and toddlers at two centers in the greater Williamsburg area. For information about First Steps, call 566-TOTS.
The Griffin-Yeates Center, which has three classrooms, is located in York County. Families must be residents of York County and be working, in school, or in a job-training program. Fees are based on income and start at $58 week. Limited child care tuition scholarships are available. The Center is open year-round.

An additional First Steps Center is located at Lafayette High School, where the two classrooms serve as early childhood learning laboratories for students enrolled in the Family and Consumer Sciences program.
