Infant/Toddler Teacher

Seeking full-time Infant/Toddler Teacher to work with Early Head Start eligible infants, toddlers and their families enrolled in CDR’s First Steps Child Care and Development Center at Griffin Yeates. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field preferred. The successful candidate will be required to obtain an infant/toddler CDA within one year of employment with support from CDR. The ideal candidate will have experience working with infants and toddlers, have knowledge of infant and toddler development, and demonstrate a commitment to quality, family-centered, inclusive child care. Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Virginia licensing and NAEYC standards and/or bilingual Spanish speaking a strong plus.  Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to lift children up to 40 pounds, move easily from sitting to standing, bend and stoop, play on the floor. Background checks and TB test required. Salary based on experience and qualifications.
