Community & Medical Interpretation Services (CMIS)

Created under the auspices of the Williamsburg non-profit organization Child Development Resources in support of compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. >>>

Developmental Playgroup

One of CDR’s core services—a chance for infants and toddlers to interact with other children of the same age; to explore and play in a safe and exciting environment that might not be available to them at home. >>>

Early Head Start

A federally-funded program for families of children birth to three and expectant mothers. Enrolled families receive comprehensive services including health screenings, developmental screenings and monitoring, and parenting guidance. >>>

Fatherhood Program

Children are more likely to lead healthy, successful lives when both their mother and father are actively involved in their lives in positive ways. Father presence matters, and CDR supports fathers through its family-centered approach to services. >>>

First Steps
Child Care & Development Centers

Provide high-quality, full-day, year-round child care for families whose parents are working, in school, or in job training. More than just a child-care center, the program provides comprehensive health, development, nutrition, and parent support services. >>>

Infant & Parent Program

Includes individual physical, occupational, speech therapies, and special education during home visits and developmental playgroup to children diagnosed with disabilities and developmental delay. >>>

Parents as Teachers (PAT)

Helps prenatal moms and families of children who are at risk for poor health or developmental delay by enhancing parenting skills and linking families to a wide variety of resources. >>>
