CDR celebrates Motherhood! We offer FREE education and social support groups where moms can connect.
The Motherhood program provides prenatal and postpartum support, lactation support from International Board Certified Lactation Counselors (IBCLCs), meaningful social connections, and a nurturing village of support for families.

Breastfeeding Support & Baby Weigh Stay Cafe
A welcoming space to weigh your baby, receive support from IBCLCs, and connect with other moms. We are currently meeting every Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at CDR’s location at 312 Waller Mill Road in Williamsburg.
Infant Massage
Registration is required.
Infant massage is a gentle, nurturing way to connect with your baby through touch. This special time together supports bonding and attachment, helps your baby feel secure and understood, and can ease common discomforts like teething, colic, and gas. It also encourages relaxation and more peaceful sleep for you both.
Mothers and Babies
Registration is required.
This is a six-week series designed for prenatal and postpartum moms.
- Meet other moms and share typical challenges that mothers of newborns face.
- Offer new and exciting wellness strategies to better handle stress, talk about infant milestones and learn how we can help our babies grow.
- Hear about how postpartum depression and anxiety can impact our parenting.
- Encourage a community of support in a confidential, warm and relaxed environment.
- Recognize support systems and discover additional resources.
- Share a cup of coffee and HAVE FUN!
Rookie Moms
Registration is required.
Welcome to Rookie Moms: Journey into Motherhood! We will explore what to expect during the first few months with your baby: feeding, sleeping, and tips to help you as you journey through this time with your new baby! Discussion to also include your new identity as a mother and ways to manage stress and postpartum depression. Bring your questions! Registration required.
Stroller Strides/Babies & Brews
Join us on Friday mornings at 10:00 to walk, talk, and meet other families as we stride in Colonial Williamsburg. This is a great chance to get out of the house, soak up the Vitamin D and get a bit of exercise. All are welcome! We meet at the corner of Duke of Gloucester street and South Henry at the tables. If the weather is not suitable for walking, we will meet at Frothy Moon Cafe (1826 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185). Check our Facebook page for updates!
