After 44 successful years, Child Development Resources (CDR) has decided to retire the annual Bid ‘n Buy Auction.
“The Bid ‘n Buy Auction has been CDR’s largest fundraiser of the year for many years, “said Paul Scott, CDR’s Executive Director. “While we are so grateful for the community support this event has received, we believe it’s time to focus our efforts and attention to our other existing fundraisers, including the CDR Spring Car Raffle, the CDR Garden Party, the SuperHero 5K and Family Challenge, and the CDR Oyster Roast. We also believe strong opportunities exist for additional fundraisers in the future.”
The Bid ‘n Buy Auction featured both a live and silent auction, which Scott says will continue to be incorporated into the existing events. “We believe the Williamsburg community will continue to support CDR’s vital work by joining us at our other fundraisers as sponsors, supporters, or attendees.”
